Imagination Station counting on provisional ballots

Posted: Updated:
TOLEDO, Ohio -

Ohio started counting provisional ballots on Saturday and the final results could turn a narrow loss into a win for the Imagination Station.

Voters defeated the Imagination Station's renewal levy by less than 1,000 votes. There are more than 9,000 provisional ballots to be counted in Lucas County, so Executive Director Lori Hauser is hoping it makes a difference.

"Our existing levy funds actually expire at the end of 2013, so if issue 26 does not pass, we will be doing back to the voters in November of 2013 for a renewal of our existing funds."

Issue 26 is 1,075 votes short of passing. Provisional ballots must be counted and certified by November 27th.
