Cinemark purchases theaters from Rave

Posted: Updated:

Just years after buying them, Rave Motion Pictures is selling all of its movie theaters to Cinemark for $240 million.

Include in the sale are local theatres at Westfield Franklin Park, Levis Commons and Fallen Timbers.

Locally, Cinemark theatres are already located in Bowling Green, Tiffin and Sandusky.

The Department of Justice or the Federal Trade Commission must sign off on the deal before it is finalized.

Cinemark has not announced whether or not the company will honor Rave gift certificates or pre-purchased tickets.
