*Thanksgiving Eve Patrols

The night before Thanksgiving is the busiest bar night of the year. So law enforcement will be on high alert tonight for drunk drivers. Part of that effort will be a sobriety checkpoint in Springfield Township. Drivers will be stopped along Angola road between McCord and King. Law enforcement wants to remind everyone who goes out tonight to plan ahead and get a designated driver.

*Cooper Tire Sale Update (Findlay Courier)

Apollo Tyres of India is putting a hold on its bid to buy cooper tire. The Findlay Courier reports that investors were uncomfortable with the plan because Apollo would have to increase its debt to make the purchase. Both companies have dismissed buyout reports.

*OH – Ohio General Assembly Elections

When the newly-elected Ohio general assembly begins meeting next year - it will have the same leaders. After a vote, members determined that Democrat Edna Brown will remain on the senate leadership team and the house caucus re-elected Rep. Matt Szollosi to its leadership. Republicans - who hold majorities in both chambers, have yet to select their leadership teams.

*Famous Former Boxer Shot

Former boxing champion Hector "Macho" Camacho is expected to survive being shot in the jaw. Police say Camacho was sitting in his car with another man when someone in a passing car opened fire. The other man in Camacho's vehicle was killed. Investigators say they're still not sure about the motive for the shooting - and they're still searching for the gunman.

*Powerball Jackpot Hits $250M

Wouldn't it be nice to start off the holiday season as a multi-millionaire??? Sure the odds are against you...but tonight's Powerball lottery jackpot is up to 250-million dollars. Also...no one won last night's Mega Millions jackpot, so that drawing will be for 41-million dollars on Friday. Look for the numbers late tonight on 13abc action news at 11.

*College Basketball Player Scores 138 Points

Talk about being in the zone. Jack Taylor, a 5' 10" sophomore at Division III *Grinnell* scored 138 points last night. He jacked up 108 shots...making 52. 27 of those makes were 3's. This kid took...71 three pointers!!! The 138 pts. is a new NCAA scoring record.
