Black Friday wasn't just about finding good holiday deals. Some used the day to get ready for another big event.
The Border Battle game kicks off at 12 p.m. Fans used Friday to get those last minute items. Sweatshirts, hats and hoodies were popular at stores specializing in game day gear.
"This is a huge day for us," says Amy Spaulding at the Buckeye Wolverine Shop. "It's the day before the big game, so everyone's here to get their supplies for their teams."
Michigan won the game in 2011, and Wolverine fans say they're hoping to defend their title. "I think it's going to be a tough game. Ohio's coming off an undefeated season but Michigan has some great double threat quarter backs so we're pretty excited it's gonna go great."
Even though the game takes the spotlight, fans say watching it with family and friends is just as much fun.
"I like to watch the game, but I'm all about the food and having family and just everyone enjoying themselves and having a good time," says Buckeyes fan Adrienne King.
