TIFFIN, Ohio -

A customer at the Tiffin Walmart helped subdue an alleged shoplifter Saturday night.

The Advertiser-Tribune reports that 24-year-old Timothy Stallings from Fostoria was allegedly trying to open packaging with a knife hidden his sleeve in order to steal the contents inside.

Tiffin Police say a customer tried to stop Stallings and the two of them ended up fighting in the clothing department.

Walmart security held Stallings until police arrived. He's charged with a second-degree felony because the knife is considered a deadly weapon.
