BGSU Volleyball To Face Yale In NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - The NCAA announced the 64 teams that will make up the NCAA Division I Volleyball Tournament today and Bowling Green will face Yale in University Park, Pa. on Friday, Nov. 30 at 5 p.m. The winner of that match will play the winner of No. 1 seed Penn State vs. Binghamton on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m.

The Falcons, who return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1991, enter the event having won 17 of their last 20 matches to get to 21-10 on the year. Bowling Green went 13-3 in Mid-American Conference play during the regular season and was the No. 2 seed for the MAC Tournament. The Falcons beat No. 7 seed Eastern Michigan in straight sets in the MAC Tournament quarterfinals before beating No. 3 seed Western Michigan in five sets in the semifinals. In the championship, BGSU beat No. 4 seed Northern Illinois in five sets after dropping the first two frames.
