DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings will hold a special ‘Relive the Rivalry' viewing party at PB's Sports Grille in St. Clair Shores (24301 Harper Ave.) on Wednesday, November 28. Festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. with Detroit's unforgettable sudden-death victory over Colorado from March 26, 1997 set to be shown in its entirety beginning at 7:30 p.m. Arguably the peak of the teams' epic 1990's rivalry, the Red Wings and Avalanche combined to produce 11 goals and record 148 penalty minutes in this game.
Overtime hero Darren McCarty will be on hand to mingle with event patrons throughout the night. The ‘Grind Line' member will also sign autographs for fans and engage in an interactive Q&A session about the memorable Hockeytown showdown that featured some of the greatest players in recent NHL history. Hosted by Red Wings play-by-play announcer Ken Kal, this event is open to fans of all ages.
Viewing party attendees will have the chance to win autographed Red Wings memorabilia by taking part in an evening-long trivia contest. A special food & drink combo featuring 20 chicken wings and a 22 ounce draught beer for only $11 will also be available to event patrons over the age of 21.
