Player of the Week

Andre Hollins, Minnesota

G – 6-1 – So. – Memphis, Tenn. – White Station


  • Led Minnesota in scoring at the Battle 4 Atlantis, averaging 20.3 points over three games, including two contests against nationally ranked opponents
  • Scored a career-high 41 points to lead the Gophers to an 84-75 win over No. 19/17 Memphis, becoming the fourth Minnesota player to score 40 points in a game and the first since 1971
  • Went 20-for-22 from the free-throw line in three games, sinking three with 0.4 seconds left on the clock to secure a win over Stanford
  • Scored 12 points, dished out four assists and grabbed three rebounds against No. 5/5 Duke
  • Earns his first career weekly accolade

Freshman of the Week

Nik Stauskas, Michigan

G – 6-6 – Mississauga, Ontario – St. Marks


  • Averaged 12.5 points and 4.5 rebounds to help No. 4/4 Michigan win its first NIT Season Tip-Off title
  • Shot 50 percent from the floor, including 42.9 percent from long range, and was a perfect 8-for-8 at the free-throw line over two games
  • Tied his career high with 15 points against Pittsburgh, adding five boards, a block and a steal
  • Scored 10 points with four boards and an assist against Kansas State
  • Earns his first career weekly honor
