Toledo man indicted on murder charges awaiting extradition

A Toledo man has been indicted on two counts of murder for the death of his wife.
Kyle Sheppard is behind bars awaiting extradition from Canada. Investigators say he killed his 29-year-old wife, Katie Sheppard, earlier this month. Police found her body on the enclosed front porch of the couple's Rivard Road home after family members called police, concerned because she didn't show up for work. Authorities believe she was strangled.
Paperwork has been filed to bring Kyle Sheppard back to Northwest Ohio to face the charges.
