Residents and postal leaders met in Portage today. The small village is changing its operating hours to 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Previously, its hours had been 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Residents say they're upset with the shorter hours because it limits access to post office boxes.
The struggling U.S. Postal Service plans to cut some 150,000 workers and reduce hours over the next three years.
