City of Toledo leaders have released a plan for road repairs next year. A Department of Engineering Services spokesperson says the list marks the largest program the city has ever had.
The preliminary list includes major projects like reconstruction of Collingwood and Secor, and it also calls for more than $10 million for repairs on residential roads.
"We have more need than what our funds will allow," says Commissioner of Engineering Services Robin Whitney. "We go after federal and state grants to help with major projects and figure out different ways to spread dollars and reach areas that need assistance."
We're told the plan calls for using a little over $20 million from the city improvement fund.
City council members will review the proposal before giving final approval next week.
