1 of 2 Powerball winners revealed

Posted: Updated:

We now know the identity of one of the winners of that record Powerball jackpot. Lottery officials in Missouri say 52-year-old mechanic Mark Hill bought a winning ticket at a gas station in the small town of Dearborn.

Hill bought the ticket for himself and his wife Cindy. He updated his Facebook status Thursday night to say "We are truly blessed. We are the lucky winners of the Powerball."

Family members say Hill is a fan of the Kansas City Royals, and the winning lotto numbers are the same as that team's hall-of-fame players, like George Brett, Willie Wilson, and former player Bo Jackson.

Meanwhile, surveillance video from a convenience store might show the Powerball's other big winner. A gas station from Maryland released the video.

The clerk says it shows a construction worker checking his ticket and finding out he won his share of $587 million.

The man told employees at the store he bought his ticket in Arizona, which is where lottery officials say the second winning ticket was sold.

Each winner will get about $192 million in a lump sum before taxes.
