Lourdes’ Ali Mass Named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete

SYLVANIA - Lourdes University's Ali Mass (Walbridge, Ohio/Tiffin Calvert H.S.) has been named a 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced.

Mass, a junior outside hitter, tallied 130 kills and 112 digs on the year for the Gray Wolves.  She is the first Lourdes volleyball student-athlete to earn this honor.

A member of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) All-Academic Team this season as well, Mass is a nursing major carrying a 3.66 GPA.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director for the award, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
