Synthetic drug bill heads to Ohio Governor

They're sold under the names "OMG", "Bizarro" and "Vanilla Sky." Ohio's Attorney General says they are very addictive, and can induce violence and extreme paranoia.

That's why state lawmakers are taking steps to crack down on synthetic drugs. A bill bans them outright. It also calls for strict monitoring of purchases of cold and allergy medications, which can be used to make meth.

This week, the Ohio House of Representatives unanimously passed legislation that would ban synthetic drugs. It has already passed the Senate.

The bill will now goes to the governor.
