Six people were arrested outside the Lucas County Courthouse for aggravated rioting. Police say a suspects family ignored orders to leave the property after 16 year old Anthony Mitchell was sentenced to 21 years for rape.
Anthony Mitchell, Markella Lawrence, Angel Bowman, Sonia Nieto, Myesha Newtown and Antoine Pernell were indicted today on charges of 'aggravated riot.'
Mitchell and Lawrence were also charged with retaliation. Nieto was also charged with assault.
The charges are all connected to last week's disruption at the Lucas County Courthouse. The group was angered after a sentence of 20 years was handed down for 16-year-old Anthony Mitchell, who was convicted of rape.
