The IHOP on Central Avenue in Toledo closed Wednesday morning. Corporate officials told 13abc that the displaced workers would be transferred. One of those workers is now saying that didn't happen.
The employee, who wishes to remain anonymous, says only five people were actually transferred, leaving about 20 others without a job.
The former employee says, "We were actually told that we had to go to the other stores and just talk to the managers there. The majority of the staff went and were told the majority of their stores are actually overstaffed. We weren't guaranteed or promised anything. But IHOP is saying that we were and we weren't."
We were not able to reach corporate offices for comment.
