MONROE COUNTY, Mich. -

Four teenagers are in custody and police are looking for a teen girl, after a 15-year-old Ash Township boy was duct-taped, punched and choked during a robbery in the 1000 block of Labo Road in Ash Township early Friday morning.

Police say five teenagers befriended the boy and then turned on him in a surprise attack at his family's pole barn.

According to a report, the victim was punched and choked while his life was threatened with a gun. The suspects used duct tape to bind the victim's arms and legs to a chair and applied a piece of duct tape to his eyes.

The suspects stole electronics, music and recording equipment worth thousands of dollars while the victim was bound in his family's pole barn.

After the suspects fled the scene, the victim was able to free himself and alert his parents, who were asleep in the house. The house is a hundred yards away from the barn.

Most of the stolen property was recovered and later returned to the victim.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office will be seeking criminal charges against the suspects, including armed robbery and unlawful imprisonment.

In custody at the Monroe County Youth center is a 16-year-old boy from Monroe Township. Held at the Monroe County Jail are a 17-year-old boy from LaSalle Township, a 17-year-old boy from Monroe City and a 17-year-old girl from Monroe City.

Police are still looking for a teenage girl from the Monroe area.

The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detectives Jeff Pauli or Jeff Smith at 734-240-7745 or 734-224-7315.
