Shipper FedEx is busier than ever in this holiday season.
Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the company expects 280 million shipments to pass through its facilities. All those extra packages means more help is needed. The company brings on about 20,000 seasonal workers to help meet the holiday deadlines.
Jason Straub of FedEx in Toledo says, "I guess in a way we're a logistical Santa Claus trying to help out a bit."
He reminds those getting ready to ship gifts that FedEx Office locations are always willing to give tips on wrapping and packing packages to make sure their gifts arrive safe and sound.
If you still have gifts to send out, the deadlines for arriving in time for Christmas are quickly approaching. The last day to ship by FedEx Ground is December 17 and the FedEx Express deadline in December 22.
