Man fatally shot in front of home on Winfield

A Toledo man is gunned down in front of his own home.

Police say they are looking for two suspects who were seen leaving the scene. It happened Monday evening on Winfield Road.

Anthony Fizer was just 42 years old. The father of four was shot to death in front of his home.

His wife says she was headed home when it happened.

"When I pulled up to the beginning of the street and I asked one of the neighbors who told me," said the victim's wife Lisa Fizer.

Fizer was rushed to St. Vincent Mercy Medical center where he died.

Investigators say Fizer pulled into his driveway and was just about to go in the house when he was confronted.

"Two men came up on the porch we believe it was going to be a robbery. There was a struggle and Mr Fizer was shot at least 2 times," said Toledo Police Sgt. Joe Heffernan.

His wife wants to know why.  

"I don't know if they were robbing him or if it was a personal thing but this type of craziness needs to be stopped . And whoever this person was they are going to pay I hope they catch the person soon," said Fizer's wife.

Fizers house is equip with camera's that record 24 hours a day.

Family says police are reviewing that video along with other evidence. 

Evidence that may help police solve another senseless crime.

"That he was a loving father and a loving husband and he was part of military. He was into construction electrical work. He hooks up vehicles with rims stereos and alarms so its just everything he did and was," said Lisa Fizer
