LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Dozens of state troopers in riot gear are sweeping protesters away from a Michigan state building where Gov. Rick Snyder has an office in the wake of final approval of anti-union legislation.
The scene is across the street from the Capitol. Two people were arrested earlier Tuesday after trying to get into the building named for former Gov. George Romney. State police accompanied by sheriff's deputies on horses are moving shoulder-to-shoulder to clear the area.
Some people who refused to move have been physically picked up.
The Michigan House gave final approval Tuesday to bills to bar unions from collecting mandatory fees from workers they represent under collective bargaining agreements.
