Toledo reaches out to Connecticut shooting victims

Toledo, OHIO (WTVG) -- You can show your support for the victims of the massive Connecticut shooting on Saturday.

A card signing and balloon release will take place at the Valero Stop and Shop on Monroe Street.

The card signing runs from 1:00pm - 4:00pm and you can participate in the white balloon release starting at 3:00pm.

Star 105.5's Andrew Z will also broadcast a special show live from the event.

You can also show your support for the Sandy Hook Elementary victims at a candle vigil Saturday evening.

The vigil starts at 5:00pm at the Toledo Children's Memorial that's located at the intersection of Eleanor and Jackman.

Anyone is welcome to bring flowers or a teddy bear to leave at the memorial.
