Toledo police have arrested a man who allegedly tried to rob a Kroger gas station Tuesday morning. It happened around 6:30 a.m. at the station on the corner of Secor and Monroe Street.
Police say the man handed the cashier a note, with his driver's license inside, and then demanded money.
The cashier took the items, walked away and called police.
Officers traced the license to a location on Auburn Road, where they found the suspect fixing a flat tire.
Police took him into custody.
Police say the man mentioned having a gun, but they didn't find one.
