Walmart Foundation to award grant to Feed Lucas County Children

$745,000 awarded statewide to fight hunger and help children in Ohio

(Columbus, Ohio) – Local representatives from Walmart will present a $50,000 grant to Feed Lucas County Children on behalf of the Walmart Foundation's State Giving Council to support the organization's fight against hunger. The presentation will take place on Thursday, December 20th at 10:30 a.m.

Through the State Giving Program, the Walmart Foundation awards grants that have a long-lasting, positive impact on communities by supporting state and local organizations that create opportunities for people to live better.

In addition to the presentation in Toledo, similar events are being held in Cleveland, Columbus and Sidney where a total of $745,000 will be awarded to organizations that fight hunger, help children and promote community and professional development initiatives.
