Library adding Sunday hours

Posted: Updated:
TOLEDO, Ohio -

Lack of funding led to the Toledo Lucas County Public Library cutting Sunday hours a few years ago, but that's about to change.

Voters said yes to a five-year operating levy in November and the library's board of trustees agreed Thursday to restore Sunday hours at four locations in 2013.

Starting January 6th, The Main Library and the Heatherdowns, Oregon and Sylvania Branches will now be open from one to five p.m. on Sundays. The Sanger Branch has been the only location with Sunday hours for the past three years and will continue to be open on Sunday.

Library leaders say they are working to restore weekly and Saturday hours, too. You can expect the new hours to be in place by March.
