Ford announced it's investing more than $773 million dollars for new equipment and production in six Southeast Michigan facilities.

It's all part of Ford's plans to add 12,000 hourly jobs in the U.S. by 2015. More than 2,000 of those jobs are expected to be in Michigan.

A Ford executive says the investments will ensure the plants can support the company's aggressive growth plan.
