Pregnant woman assaulted for refusing to steal beer

TOLEDO, Ohio -

A pregnant woman is recovering after an attempted robbery at a Toledo carryout.

According to police reports, a suspect asked the woman to help him steal beer from the store around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday night. When she refused, the suspect assaulted her outside the store.

Police say the woman is seven and a half months pregnant and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

No word on any arrests at this time.
