An explosion at a waste disposal company in Cincinnati has killed one man and left a co-worker injured.

The University of Cincinnati Medical Center says Zachary Henzerling died early Saturday a day after the explosion at Environmental Enterprises Inc.

He was 1 of 4 workers shredding an industrial filter when chemicals ignited early Friday. His father says he'd only been on the job for a month.

The name of the second person injured hasn't been released. He was in stable condition on Friday.
