GAME

•         The game marked the fourth all-time meeting between Ohio State and Chicago State, all in Columbus. The Buckeyes hold a 4-0 advantage in the series.

•         The matchup with Chicago State was the first on the new Value City Arena court for Ohio State.

 TEAM

•         Since the end of the 2008-09 season, Ohio State has avoided back-back losses.

•         Five Ohio State players scored in double figures: Deshaun Thomas (17 points); Aaron Craft (10); Lenzelle Smith, Jr. (13); LaQuinton Ross (15); and Amedeo Della Valle (11).

•         Recorded one steal against the Cougars. He has 190 for his career, good for No. 3 all-time in Ohio State history. David Lighty (2007-11) is No. 2 with 191. Jay Burson (1986-89) is Ohio State's career leader with 204.

•         Collected six assists for the game, moving to No. 7 on the all-time list at Ohio State with 415 for his career. He needs five assists to pass Ron Stokes for sixth.

•         Scored 11 points, a career high.

•         Connected on a career-best three 3-point field goals.
