Friends remember first murder victim of 2013

TOLEDO, Ohio -

Friends spent Tuesday remembering Christina Henderson after she was killed Tuesday morning outside a bar on Alexis Road in Toledo.  After a fight inside the South Beach Bar spilled outside, Henderson was found with a stab wound to the neck.  She later died at a hospital.

"It's just a tragedy to bring in the new year like this," said former neighbor Thomas Page.

People who used to live right next to Henderson and her family remember her in a couple of ways.  First, a kind and helpful person.

"When we first moved in, they offered to help move our couch in, actually yeah they did," said Page.

More importantly she's remembered as a good mother.

"She was a good mom, very good mom.  She always had her kids with her.  It's not about running out here abouts without nobody.  They had their kids and themselves and that's all they needed," said Page.

"I don't even know man, it's brining tears to my eyes.  Hurting, I'm hurt for her and her family cause I know she has two young kids.  I have kids myself and I know how it is to not have parents," said former neighbor Brittany Lemay.

Friends says they didn't see her too often, mostly because she worked so much trying to provide for her family.  A family now left without a mother.

"Very nice person, she was very caring.  She had beautiful daughters," said Lemay.

No one has been arrested in Henderson's murder.
