Toledo-Area Metroparks looking for volunteers

The Toledo-Area Metroparks are looking for volunteers for ‘Trail Patrol.'

The volunteers serve as a communications link for visitors, helping to provide a safe, enjoyable experience.

Duties also include promoting safe use of the trails and alerting staff to potential hazards.

Three informational meetings are scheduled January for anyone interested in joining Trail Patrol.

The first is Wednesday, January 9 at 6:30 p.m. at Wildwood. The next is January 13 at 3 p.m. at Pearson Park, and the final meeting is January 14 at 7 p.m. at Oak Openings.

People will be able to learn about the program and fill out an application. Personal interviews will take place in early February.
