Mom facing 27 counts of child endangering after house party

Posted: Updated:

A Washington Township mom faces more than two dozen counts of child endangering after police say she threw a party where juveniles had been drinking.

At least four teens needed medical attention after drinking too much say authorities.

Kristen Donnelly, 38, was arrested for the party at her house on Point Pleasant Way and was arraigned Monday in Toledo Municipal Court.  Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 10.

Police records reveal that twenty-seven juveniles were at the party, including Ms. Donnelly's son. The kids were 14 to 17 years old. Many tried to run or hide from the police. Donnelly herself was apprehended trying to flee the scene.

Authorities say open alcohol was found in every room of the home including the garage and bathrooms. Several teens were found passed out and taken to the hospital.

Police were initially called due to a noise complaint and reports of juveniles drinking.

Neighbors who live in the Point Place neighborhood were surprised to get the news.  "I'm shocked because that never happens around here," says Norm Chetcuti, who's lives on Point Pleasant Way.  "I've never heard of anything, and we've lived here for 13 years."

"I haven't seen much partying going on in the whole neighborhood," says Mary Mascazine, a thirty year resident.  "Everybody pretty much is quiet around here, we were pretty stunned."
