A visit from Spider-Man turned into a big surprise for a North Carolina boy.

Spidey took off his mask to reveal his true identity: the boy's father, U.S. Army Sgt. Jason Reynolds.

Reynolds was home from Afghanistan on emergency leave for the birth of his second child and wanted to surprise his firstborn, Noah, with something special.

"I wanted to do something a little more special for him because of the newborn in the house. I wanted to make sure he understands he's just as important as she is." Reynolds said. "I'm pretty sure he actually be lives I dress up as Spider-Man to go fight the bad guys now."
