Woman in serious condition after fall through ice

One woman was rushed to the hospital over the weekend after falling through the ice on the Maumee River.

Rescue crews were called onto the ice near the Imagination Station in downtown Toledo Sunday morning.

First responders say Renee Williams was trapped in the frigid water for about an hour. She was pulled from the water and taken to Mercy St. Vincent's, where she is listed in serious condition.

Officials say they still do not know why Williams was out on the ice.
