UT to hold townhall on deadly stabbing

Posted: Updated:
TOLEDO, Ohio -

The University of Toledo is bringing students together Tuesday afternoon for a message of safety.  This comes on the heels of a fatal stabbing on campus during the Christmas break.

The townhall is being held at the Student Union's Trimble Lounge on the main campus.  It starts at 1:30.  University president Lloyd Jacobs along with the school's police chief will be there to answer questions.

This is all stemming from a deadly stabbing near the International House back on December 19th. That's when police found Josiah Galat, 20, of Mansfield dead behind the International House.  They also found Erik Littleton, 19, inside the building.  He too had stab wounds and was taken to a local hospital.  His condition was not released.  The two were roommates and some sort of fight escalated and that's when the stabbing occurred.  At this point no charges have been filed

You can send questions to townhallquestions@utoledo.edu
