Rave/Cinemark deal could be completed by March

Posted: Updated:

Three Toledo-area Rave Motion Pictures theaters could become Cinemark theaters by the end of March.

Rave agreed to sell 32 of its theaters at the end of November, including those at Westfield Franklin Park, Levis Commons and Fallen Timbers.

The company announced Monday it would like to close the $240 million deal by the end of the first quarter.

The 32 theaters are located in 12 different states in the US.

Locally, there are already Cinemark theatres in Bowling Green, Tiffin and Sandusky.

The sale will not be finalized until the Department of Justice or the Federal Trade Commission signs off on it.
