TOLEDO, Ohio -

A local man is facing criminal charges after police say he posted a picture of an undercover Toledo Police Officer on Facebook.

Police charged 38-year-old Jason Phillips with obstructing official business. According to court documents, he posted a picture of an undercover Toledo Police officer with the officer's name on Facebook. The caption on the photo read, "This officer has an all-star snitch team."

Police are alleging that act hampers that officer in the performance of his duties and creates a risk of physical harm to the officer.

Philips told The Blade newspaper during an interview that he was in Toledo Municipal Court when he saw the officer walking through a hallway and decided to take the picture with his phone and post it online.

Phillips claims it was all just a joke.
