Toledo area Metroparks are looking for "trail patrol" volunteers

Posted: Updated:

If you're interested in volunteering at the Metroparks they are hosting a trail patrol meeting today.

The meeting allows you to learn more about the program and fill out an application.

Trail patrol volunteers work in pairs for 2-4 hours carrying a cell phone, first-aid supplies, maps and brochures.

As a volunteer you must put in a minimum of 50 hours a year at the Metroparks.

Today's meeting starts at 3 p.m. at the Packer-Hammersmith Center located at Pearson Metropark.

Personal interviews start the first week of February.
