A heavy band of rainfall added up to 1-1.5" Saturday night into Sunday morning. That rainfall along with the 0.5-1.0" that fell a couple days ago and the recent snow melt has led to minor floods on area rivers. As of Sunday morning the expected crest on the Maumee river was expected to top flood stage in Waterville at 10.8'. The Portage river had a forecasted crest of 10.2' in Woodville. The Sandusky river in Tiffin has a forecasted crest of 7.9'. The Blanchard river which is known for big floods in Findlay had a forecasted crest of 11.2' (flood stage is 11.0'). The Blanchard river in Ottawa was expected to rise to 23.6' in Ottawa. All of the forecasted river crests for area rivers are considered minor flooding.

It has been a slow severe weather season up to this point, but this weekend will be the busiest of the season so far. There were more than 20 tornado reports on Saturday and over 200 severe reports totals.
