Flood Warnings continue, rivers cresting

WATERVILLE, Ohio -

River Flood Warnings continue this Monday night in Lucas, Wood, Ottawa, Sandusky, Henry, Putnam, Allen, Paulding, Defiance and Marion Counties. The larger rivers in northwest Ohio remain above flood stage this evening in most locations, although most of these rivers are cresting, or will crest very soon.

As far as specifics, the Maumee River is cresting at Waterville, about 2' above flood stage.

The Portage River is still rising, nearly 2' above flood stage in Woodville.  It will soon crest without rising much more.

The Blanchard River is 1' to 2' above flood stage, and is approaching its crest in Ottawa (there aren't any serious problems tied to the flooding in Findlay).

To the south, the Scioto River is 1' above flood stage in LaRue, but the river has crested and is falling.

Finally, the Auglaize River has crested near Fort Jennings, but remains 1' to 2' above flood stage this Monday evening.

Conditions will continue to improve through midweek, as we'll have a couple of dry days.
