Toledo teen shot in leg while walking along tracks

Posted: Updated:

A teen was shot on Toledo's east side Wednesday while walking along some railroad tracks.

The 15-year-old male was walking in the area of Dearborn and Kelsey, when he got involved in a confrontation with two men.

The victim was shot twice in the right leg, near the ankle.

His mother flagged down a police crew in the Stickney and Manhattan area after she found out about the shooting.

The victim was taken to St. Charles, and his injuries are considered non-life threatening

The two suspects are not in custody, but police say they know the identity of at least one of them. The victim says he knew one of the men, though not the person who shot him.
