Man arrested for robbing hotel clerk at knifepoint

Police arrested a suspect for allegedly robbing a hotel clerk at knifepoint. It happened just after 11:00 Wednesday night at the Comfort Inn on Navarre near I-280.

Oregon police say the arrest was made just minutes after the suspect fled the scene. Officials say Joshua Hodge went into the Comfort Inn Hotel and threatened the clerk working at the front desk with a knife.

Officials say Hodge cut the clerk on the arm before he took off with cash.

Police arrived moments later to find Hodge nearby. He's charged with felonious assault and aggravated robbery.

Officials say additional charges are pending.

As for the hotel clerk, she was treated at a local hospital and is expected to be okay.
