DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings announced that defenseman Brian Lashoff has been recalled from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League. Lashoff, 22, has appeared in 36 games for Grand Rapids this season, tallying six points (2G-4A) in addition to 23 penalty minutes and a plus/minus rating of +4.
In order to make room for Lashoff on their 23-man roster, Detroit has placed blue-liner Jakub Kindl (lower body injury) on the team's IRL. The Red Wings are currently on a two-game, season-opening road trip and are scheduled to face-off against the Columbus Blue Jackets later tonight at Nationwide Arena (7:30 p.m., FOX Sports Detroit, NBC Sports Network and 97.1 The Ticket).
Detroit's 2012-13 home opener is scheduled to be played on Tuesday, Jan. 22, when Jaromir Jagr and the Dallas Stars pay a visit to Hockeytown for a 7:30 p.m. showdown at The Joe. Only single seats and standing room tickets remain for the home-opener. Tickets to this match and all 24 of Detroit's home games are currently available for purchase at the JLA Box Office (313-396-7575), all Ticketmaster (800-745-3000) outlets, and online at DetroitRedWings.com.
