Deputies in Hancock County are investigating an early morning crash that left one man dead. It happened Friday morning on Township Road 243 near Township Road 218 in Washington Township.

Investigators say Oscar Pichardo lost control of his van and went off the road. The van struck a ditch, went airborne and struck some trees, ejecting Pichardo from the van.

He was taken by air ambulance to Mercy St. V's where he was pronounced dead.

It is unclear at this time if weather played a factor in the crash.
