RVs aren't just for camping

Posted: Updated:

If camping isn't your style, but you're a sports fan heading to the Seagate Center for the Camp and Travel RV show might still be worth your while.

"Some of these RV's have outdoor kitchens great for tailgating for your favorite team," said show director Dave Brown.

Tickets to the big game aren't necessary if you buy an RV that is set up with an outdoor plasma TV and satellite.

There are RVs and campers for almost every family ranging in price from $4,000 to over $200,000.

"Some of these motorhomes are like luxury homes on wheels," Brown said. "They even have washers and dryers."

Mercedes Benz teamed up with the iconic Winnebago to offer a high-tech vehicle that's fuel efficient.

"These Winnebago isn't your grandpa's Winnebago," he said. "RVs are becoming more and more fuel efficient. This one gets about 20 miles to the gallon."

The RV show is open Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $7 and there is a dollar-off coupon online.
