February is the perfect time to get your female cat fixed during Humane Ohio's "Beat the Heat" promotion.
Humane Ohio provides low cost spaying and neutering services, and in February the cost is cut in half.
Every year, the group fixes about 12,000 dogs and cats at their clinic.
"We reduce our normal low cost price for female cats in the month of February from $45 to $20," says Jill Borkowski. "Every animal that is fixed not only prevents unwanted litters, but it has health and behavioral benefits as well."
Kittens as young as 4 months old can get pregnant.
Call Humane Ohio to set up an appointment, or you can visit humaneohio.org for more information.
