I-75 SB in Monroe Co. reopens after crash; exit ramp to Front St. still closed

Crews have reopened all lanes of Southbound I-75 near Front Street (Exit 13) in Monroe following a traffic accident Tuesday. The exit ramp to Front Street remains closed.
Police say a semi hauling steel parts lost one of its pieces on I-75. Another semi ran over the piece, lost control and hit a black Jeep. The driver of the semi that lost control was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries. The driver of the Jeep, a woman, suffered minor head injuries. Police believe the driver of the first semi was not aware that they lost part of their load.
