Holland Huckleberry, the two-year-old, blue-eyed groundhog did see his shadow.
The note he carried out said we should keep our "winter coats handy for another six weeks of winter."
"This is a first. He's never carried us out a note before," said Charlie Hoag.
Hoag is Huckleberry's owner. "I started this party about 13 years ago," he said. "The first Huckleberry lived to be ten years old. I found him when he was a baby in our woods after his mother was killed."
So why have a party? The nearly 70 people at his home in Holland, Ohio said it's a fun tradition that brings people together.
Even though Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow and called for an early Spring, Huckleberry's fans believe their groundhog got it right.
