Oregon Schools pursuing May levy; Springfield not

Posted: Updated:

The Oregon School District is putting a levy on the May ballot. The board approved putting a 2 mill, 5-year renewal levy on the ballot Tuesday night.

The district says the levy would bring in more than $1 million each year, which would go toward building repairs and security upgrades.

It's a different story for Springfield Local Schools. On Tuesday the board voted unanimously not to place a 5.9 mill operating levy on the May ballot.
