Bobby Jorgersen of Kistler Ford sees the Greater Toledo Auto Show as a chance to show off the newest models. The hope is that someone will want to buy.
"Local sales consultants from all the dealerships will be mixed in," he said. "If you have a question about purchase or lease, you can get it answered here."
The Auto Show helps sales and Jorgersen says more people are serious about buying. Welcome news after the crippling recession.
"It's really a great way for people to get into the market," John Yark, President of Yark Automotive Group said.
Yark is seeing record numbers from dealerships and manufacturers, making the market ideal for consumers. He says now more than ever the demand is high.
"The average age of a vehicle is 11 years and the average mileage is 130,000 miles, so there is quite frankly, a lot of demand for new vehicles," Yark said. "We typically see a nice spike in business."
Before the show officially opens to the public, there is a gala, that raises money for local charities. In the last nine years, the Auto Dealers United for Kids has raised more than $1 million for children's charities in Northwest Ohio.
A small way of giving back to the community that's helped them grow.
