Whitmer head boys basketball coach Bruce Smith will retire following the 2012-13 season.
Smith is in his 22nd season coaching the Panthers and his team has a 13-5 overall record this season with an 8-2 mark in Three Rivers Athletic Conference games.
Whitmer will honor Smith before the team's final home game next Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 against Central Catholic High School.
